Balkan cartel dismantled

The Guardia Civil has dismantled the main branches of the Balkan cartel, arresting 40 people and seizing eight tonnes of cocaine after four years of investigation. The operation, known as Operation Adriatica, has been carried out in collaboration with Europol and several countries, and has resulted in the seizure of large sums of money and weapons of war. According to the authorities, the operation has rendered the cartel inoperative.
